This morning I was sitting on my comfortable chair with Brownie in my lap He was sitting there looking at me with his little tongue hung out. I didn't know it but my phone was listening. I asked my husband why do you suppose my cat is sticking his tongue out at me. My technology answered: "When a cat sticks their tongue out it generally means either he is trying to understand another cat or a smell." I started to laugh, was he staring at me because he thinks of me as just another cat or does he think I stink. I took a bath this morning so I'm going with that he sees me as a cat he can't figure out.

I'm sitting at my PC in my office and found a question sent to me from someone that asked why do Persians have such short snouts. Then the person apologized for their ignorance. I hate that people feel they need to apologize for a respectful curiosity. But too the question of a short snout. It is a question I will do a little research on. I will say that in the last 40 years I have seen a lot more emphasize on the short snout. There also is what is called the doll-faced Persian and they do have a slightly longer nose. My blog The Difference between Cats and Dogs shows a picture of a kitten that is more of a doll faced Persian. But what I love about the Persian face is those great big soulful eyes. I think the small nose brings more attention to those two curious eyes that can look right into your very being.
